RISK FREE EYE LASER SURGERY ALTERNATIVE

"I have considered laser eye surgery but not seriously because of the risks> I am waiting for the technology to improve or maybe when it's been around for 20 years or so. The beauty with the i-GO OVC lenses is that I can simply stop wearing them and my eyes will revert back to their original state." read Darren's story

Listen to a BBC RADIO interview with Optician Shelly Bansal discussing the benefits of overnight vision correction.

  • 1. NON-SURGICAL - i-GO OVC achieves the same end result of "flattening the cornea" by moving to one side the cells that laser surgeons cut away, but without the associated risks.
  • 2. LOW RISK - Risks associated with overnight vision correction are no more than with traditional contact lens wear. Why risk the potential hazards of surgery outlined by WHICH? when you can have natural vision simply and safely by using overnight lenses.
  • 3. REVERSIBLE- Once you experience natural daytime vision you won't want to go back. But if you did, you simply stop wearing the lenses and your eyes will return to their original condition. This is fully backed up by research. With laser eye surgery, there is no going back.
  • 4. NEW OPTION FOR CHILDREN - Laser eye surgery cannot be performed until the eye has stopped developing - at around the age of 21. Overnight vision correction lenses can be worn at any age - as long as a child can comfortably handle lenses, they can use OVC. read Michael's story.
  • 5. READING FOR THE OVER 40s - Once you hit your 40's, age related Presbyopia (difficulty in reading) will kick in. i-GO OVC wearers can try Monovision - one lens is worn at night to correct distance vision and the other uncorrected eye is used for reading. Laser eye surgery patients do not have the option to try this technique as their eyes have been permanently changed.
DID YOU KNOW?
- Laser Eye Surgery statistics show that on average it needs to be repeated every 7 years
- Headline prices of £395 per eye are based on using old technology for prescriptions of less than -1.00D
- You may still need to wear reading glasses when you reach your 40s
