American socialite and TV star Kim Kardashian, who has her own reality show, is among the scores of people to have gotten Lasik eye surgery.
The party girl got the surgery done last month before a highly anticipated Las Vegas performance with pop and dance band, the Pussycat Dolls.
Blogging about her procedure beforehand, Kim said: "I am getting Lasik eye surgery soon and I'm sooo scared! Have any of you done it?"
Although Lasik eye surgery may be a great choice for some, Kim could have negated some of her worry by looking into the option of ortho k lenses.

vision correction lenses are only worn while asleep, meaning that she would not have had to worry about the possibility of wearing glasses at her performance.
As a lot of makeup would likely be involved in such a show, contacts wouldn't have been desirable, with the worry that some could get stuck on a lens - meaning ortho k lenses would have been an even better option.
