People 'need regular eye tests' to check if they have glaucoma | 12.08.2009
Valerie Greatorex, senior Sightline operator at the International Glaucoma Association, said that those over the age of 40 should aim to get their eyes tested every two years.
Ms Greatorex pointed out that this is the best way to determine if people have the condition or not.
She said that the three tests carried out by the ophthalmologist will "alert the ophthalmologist to [whether] you need to refer a person to their GP and then on to the hospital".
