Avoid eye laser surgery risks with ortho k lenses   |   29.10.2009

Eye laser surgery can be a nerve-racking experience.

Now, a journalist for the Sun has spoken about his time with the laser and it doesn't sound too pretty.

Although successful, David Frith suggested that the most uncomfortable part of the procedure was when the laser machine was moved into position by his eye.

"[It] felt similar to holding a vacuum cleaner hose over your eye … though I have obviously never done this," he wrote.

He was able to see clearly the next day, but did note that eye laser surgery complications are experienced in around five per cent of cases and one in three may still need glasses after surgery.

For those seeking an alternative to the possibility of eye laser surgery risks, ortho k lenses could be the answer.

Worn at night, ortho-k lenses help to correct the eye so that natural vision is achieved without any invasive surgery.
