Lasik eye surgery is one way to cure visual problems, but it does not come without risks.

Now, the Harvard Medical School has highlighted issues around the surgery.

Published in the Steuben Courier, the advice suggests that the surgery is not for everyone.

"If you have certain eye conditions, are pregnant or breastfeeding, take medications that might affect your vision or have certain diseases … you are probably not a good candidate for the procedure," the advice suggested.

It also added that people that work in aviation may want to consider other options.
