Sports players could benefit from ortho k lenses
As well as being a great option for the general public, ortho k lenses are beneficial for sports players, it has been claimed.

A manager at the Eye Centre has suggested that overnight vision correction lenses are great for anyone who plays sports as if a lens moves during a game or match, it could be irritating.

"These sports people take their game very seriously whatever it is, and they don't really want to be wearing sports glasses so they go for this I-GO treatment to help them out and to play sports and it is something that we do recommend," he said.

Earlier this month, it was reported that a man running at the Earlston Games in Selkirk lost a contact lens during the race, an issue that could have potentially disastrous consequences for any professional.

Sports players that want to avoid the risks of laser eye surgery could also benefit from ortho k, as they help to restore natural vision without the associated problems of the operation.
